Hikers, mountain bikers, sportsmen of all kinds, lovers of beautiful forests, the Hotel Family provides you with à la carte excursions and stays.
Meyrueis, ideally located, will be the starting point for many half-day or full day destinations with nearly 200km of marked hiking trails..
As such, in a couple days you can enjoy the region’s many panoramas and the diversity of landscapes. The Lozérian village is in the heart of the Causses midmountains, between the Jonte and the Tarn river canyons ; and is part of the Cevennes National Park – recently elevated to the rank of Unesco World Heritage.
Our hotel welcomes you also during your stopovers, on the hiking paths leading to Saint-Guilhem-le-désert, or on the various hiking trails crossing the region.

Sentier des deux fermes du Causse Noir (two farms’trail of the black Causse midmountain)

Distance : 10 km
Along this trail you will meet sheep farms, especially dedicated for the production of Roquefort cheese.

Sentier de Pauparelle (Pauparelle trail)

Distance : 11 km
The interest of this hike is to discover the high valley of the Jonte river, bordered by the Black and Méjean Causses midmountains, and their dolomite cliffs.

Sentier de Dargilan (Dargilan trail)

Distance : 9 km
This walk will take you to the cave of Dargilan, also called “the pink cave” that you can visit.

Sentier des ruisseaux (Creeks trail)

Distance : 5.5 km
During this walk you will follow the Fageole and the Croix-de-Fer (Iron Cross) streams, which lead to the Béthuzon creek, ending up flowing into Jonte river in Meyrueis.

Sentier du ravin de la Vinade (Vinade ravine trail) :

Duration : 3h
Distance : 7.5 km
You will travel the historic routes, both those used by mules and the “royal road” as requested by the king.
